International Truck
The result of a merger between the Deering Harvester Company and the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company was the International Harvester Company. Over the years they became a diversified manufacturing company of farming and construction equipment and produced trucks and buses. During World War II International Harvester produced the M series of military trucks that were used by the Marine Corps and the US Navy. The company which is now called the Navistar International still produces International brand military vehicles through its affiliate, Navistar Defense.
At the present time Navistar International makes the largest pickup truck available on the market in the United States. The International CTX is the largest pickup available to the non commercial consumer. They are also the major supplier for MRAP armored vehicles to the US military. The company has also designed a Navistar International Truck called the DuraStar Hybrid diesel electric truck. They are the first to enter into the hybrid commercial truck production.
