Porsche
Porsche is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury high performance automobiles. The 911 is world renown and one of the most popular models. It has famous a distinctive design and is known for having the engine in the rear like the Volkswagen Beetle. Since its introduction in 1963 the 911 has undergone continuous improvements.
It is the second oldest sports car nameplate in production, right behind the Chevrolet Corvette. The earliest edition had a 130 PS flat 6-engine which was air cooled and rear mounted. After 34 years in production the famous air cooled 911 was replaced with an all new water cooled model and was known as the Type 996.
In 2004 to celebrate the 40th anniversary there was a special edition produced. There were only 1,963 cars made and they were painted GT Silver Metallic and had unique sill trim and an aluminum 911 logo on the engine cover. The 911 is a classic that will be around forever.
