Porsche
Porsche is a German car producer who makes high performance luxury vehicles. The Porsche Boxster is a mid engine roadster. The first generation Boxster the 986 was introduced in 1997 and was powered by a 2.5 litre flat 6 cylinder engine. The first generations appearance was inspired by the Porsche Spyder and Speedster.
The Boxster got a minor facelift in 2003. The plastic rear window was replaced by a glass window. The lights were changed slightly and the bumpers were changed to give the car a more defined and chiseled appearance.
In 2004 the 550 Spyder 50th Anniversary Edition was released. There were only 1,953 cars produced and they were all painted GT Silver Metallic and had cocoa brown full leather interior. Each car also had special interior paintwork and a high end BOSE sound system. It also had a plate on the center console piece, which is known as the batwing, showing the production number.
